Sneden's Landing is a small quiet neighborhood along the Hudson that is home to several movie stars.
PUT-IN: At the end of Washington Springs Road in Sneden's Landing (see map below) you will find a small beach. Park your car there and put your boat in on the beach. This is not an official launch, but I have done this many times and no one has ever bothered me.
ROUTES: Trips here can take you south to Peanut Falls, north to Piermont and the Marsh, or across the river to Dobbs Ferry and Irvington or Yonkers. If you choose to cross the Hudson, you are traveling the old route of the Ferry established by the Dobbs family in 1698. This ferry carried the likes of Aaron Burr and Martha Washington and was frequented by spies during the Revolution. The ferry was discontinued in 1944.
